Garret has been involved in Jesus-centered faith communities for the last 12 years.
Most of Garret's career has involved creating discipleship spaces for early to late adolescents in both traditional and experimental evangelical church environments in Orange County, CA, Boulder, CO, and Bellingham, WA. He has also spent time outside of vocational church work, spending 5 years working for Apple Computers as a software/technology teacher and a trainer for new employees.
His areas of interest are vast, and his time management skills are negligible. This mix of skills has had the effect of giving him a "C+" understanding in fields ranging from theology, philosophy, pop culture, music, sociology, economics, human development, technology, and politics. All this means that Garret has strong opinions about things he has a surface-level understanding of, thus making for exciting dinner conversation.
Garret has B.A. degree in Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University and currently spends the majority of his professional time as the Director of Grow Students for Stuff You Can Use.
Garret is married to Aubrey and is the father of the four incredible kids pictured above.
